Giving Back to Lawrence County

Thanks to Indiana State Trooper W. Greg Day, I have the opportunity to once again give back to Lawrence County, the place that has given me so much. (Can you detect the sarcasm?)

This time, it looks like I’ll be giving $109.50 to the Traffic Division of Lawrence Superior Court II. Allegedly, this evening, I unlawfully operated a Red ’02 Kawasaki sportbike by committing the offense of “Excessive Speed”.

Oh well, guess it’s time to mount a radar detector on my bike. =)

Did I sound like I was bitching or whining about it? I really didn't mean to come off that way. I don't mind paying the ticket, it's only a hundred dollars. That's just a hundred dollars that won't be going to the F.O.P. or the Troopers Association. Reminds me of a joke, too... a police officer pulls over a young woman for speeding. As he approaches her vehicle and before he has a chance to say anything, she sticks her head out the window and says "I bet you're going to try to sell me a ticket to the Police Officer's ball, aren't you?" The trooper, somewhat confused, replies, "No, ma'am, police officers don't have balls". -- Webmaster, Mitchell News

Yeah, I know. I drove from Mitchell to Bloomington and back everyday for a few years and caught on to where they hang out at. Unfortunately, it was about 7:50pm last night and getting pretty cold. I was on my bike and in a hurry to get home! Oh well, what's another speeding ticket!? =) -- Webmaster, Mitchell News
