The paperwork was filed August 13th for the City of Mitchell to purchase two parcels of land for the Hamilton Blvd. Project.

The first, 5.896 acres, was purchased from Chris Burton (Meadows, LLC) for $55,343.

The second, .058 acres, was purchased from Gary Tarr, for $24,000. As I understand it, the purchase from Mr. Tarr was just a small section of land for right-of-way.

I have no reason to lie about it, and one of the girls in the department called and warned us. Shit happens!

Is very hard for me to believe that one families water bill raised that much in one months time.

Did that also JL, they said the meters were properly read. Basically, we either pay the over charge or go without water! We are still deciding what to do lol.

They do have a new meter reader..I would go or call the office and have them check it out.

No, there is and was no leak. Believe me, we would have noticed that. There are only two people in the house so there is no way in blazes that we used that much water considering neither of us are home all the time. We had the pipes and everything checked by a professional and there is nothing wrong with our plumbing. Maybe the way the read the meter or they just need the money...who knows.

my water bill went up approx. $15 w/ 6 people in the household, the increase happened when Butch made the water rate increase several months ago. It has stayed the same. Sounds like you have a leak.

Okay? Where do I sign up to be on the friends list of Danny Terrell's? I would have loved to have gotten the communication officer position that was filled by Issac. Secondly, my water bill went from 35.00 last month to over 150.00 this month. There were no changes in the way we used our water~~~Could this be the new means to solve the water solution problem by tripling our bills? Just curious if this is happening to any one else.

Maybe I should run for mayor? I don't go to church (so you can't use the bible thing against me) I don't like slot machines (I do like Texas hold 'em, but haven't played for money) I very rarely drink any kind of booze (once or twice a year I'll have a beer or two...but only if it's Sam Adams). I've lived in Mitchell all my life (except for 2 years when I lived in Bedford....what a mistake). Maybe in the next 4 years I'll be the fastest caller to 102.5 and win the Mayorship (or whatever it's called) I'm starting my campain now I guess. If you have any questions about how I would handle situations around town...just ask them right here, I'm at full disclosure (except for my name...LOL)

well i know of a person that very shortly will make his apperance onto the Mitchell political scene. A person that in my mind will be our next mayor. A great mayor not like any of the ones before. He will reestablish confidence and respect, honor and integrity for the City of Mitchell. You may first see him as a business man but by this fall you will read about him in the local papers.lol jfwy . that person dosnt exist.

V

With this administration they will have less of an apperance of screw ups, but thats just because they are better at damage control than the previous one. The last administration was like a bumbaling idiot, this administration is like a well oiled gambling machine.lol

V..You do know that Danny had nothing to do with the city purchasing Mr. Tarr's property...that was from the past Administration.

jl
jl

NOt sure Danny portrays himself as a "changed man of god"...as for your other question...I wojjld have liked to seen James Brown as Mayor.

V
V

hey jl, besides dictator danny being mayor now, who do you think should have been mayor. well how would you rank all of them.

V
V

I already knew, I was just wanting someone else to say it.lol . I think more and more that being friends with Dictator Danny could be benificial to me.lol That is if I liked to drink heavily and than pretend to be " a changed man of god", but still be one of his drinking buddies.

Umm...apparently you dont know. Gary Tarr WAS married to Danny's oldest daughter for many years. Why should there be further research into this??

Everyone has overlooked something. What is the connection between Gary Tarr and Dictator Terrell? Maybe they are related. Food for though, maybe some further research is needed.

I'd vote for all of 'em except Goldsberry. He apparently doesn't believe in my first amendment right to freedom of speech. On March 31st, he wrote: "But being the fair person I am if the site is down by midnight tonight, I won't have hundreds of people at -MY WORKPLACE- complaining. Fair enough? Should find out soon enough." ("MY WORKPLACE" refers to my employer, just to make that clear.) He e-mailed the head of H.R. at my place of employment as well. Fuck him. Five months later, the site is still here and I still have the same office (and got a raise since then as well). =) -- Webmaster, Mitchell News

What can you do for the City? The best thing would be to get out this November and vote for a change. -- Webmaster, Mitchell News

...which reminds me. I passed Butch and Nellie -- in the City car, no less -- heading towards Bedford at 6.20pm today (Friday). Of course, I'm *SURE* that their trip was related to City business or else they wouldn't subject the taxpayers to paying for their trip. I should've made a U-turn and followed them. Perhaps I will next time. -- Webmaster, Mitchell News
