On Monday, April 12th, a public hearing will be held over the suspension of Mitchell Police Officer Blair.

According to WBIW:

Mitchell Mayor Dan Terrell says that the Mitchell Board of Public Works and Safety made the recommendation that an officer should be suspended and the officer was notified of the suspension by Mitchell Police Chief Jerry Presnell.

Presnell tells WBIW News that the officer has been suspended without pay.

Presnell could not comment any further on the situation.

Officer Blair will have an opportunity to present his case at the meeting.

An anonymous commenter stated, “Rumor is that Blair taped a conversation with the Mayor about Phelix which resulted in Phelix winning a lawsuit.”  That information could not be verified.
