Autopsies were performed Thursday on the two bodies found in an outbuilding near Salem, but positive identification was not made on either.

Police say that the bodies may be the father and uncle of Timothy R. Orman, 25, Palmyra. Orman and Tammy Spengler, 23, also of Palmyra, have both been charged with murder.

According to Indiana State Police, the victims have tentatively been identified as Timothy M. Orman, 54, and Roy L. Orman, 48, both of Salem. The identification process will continue with “other types of identification procedures” being utilized by the Washington County Coroner’s Office and the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police said the preliminary cause of death for both victims was gunshot wounds.

Orman and Spengler were scheduled to have initial appearances in Washington County Circuit Court on Friday.
