Police: Man Killed Four-Month-Old For Crying

Child MurderPolice say a Washington, Indiana, man was so frustrated by his four-month-old infant son’s crying that he killed him by repeatedly slamming the boy’s head against the floor.

According to an affidavit, Lyons first told police that the child fell out of his arms but later told them he knelt down, grabbed the boy by his shoulders and repeatedly slammed the child’s head on the floor.

A preliminary autopsy report found that the child died from blunt force trauma.

Lyons has been charged with murder and neglect of a dependent.
