Accused Child Molester Saves Taxpayer’s Time, Money

A 70-year-old Bodfish, California, man who was scheduled to go on trial this past week in Brown County to face child molesting charges decided to save the taxpayers some time and money.

Jeff Cameron, Deputy Coroner of Kern County, California, confirmed that Richard Wayne Hyde died in his California home last Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

According to Cameron, it appeared that Hyde suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Hyde’s trial was to begin this past Wednesday in Brown Circuit Court.
