Child molesters are beginning to do society favors, it would appear. Last week, a 70-year-old man who was scheduled to go on trial on child molesting charges in Brown County killed himself.

Around 4 a.m. this morning, a convicted child molester was found hanging in his cell in the Marion County Jail in Indianapolis.

Anthony Humphrey, 51, was arrested late week on child pornography charges after the FBI raided his Muncie apartment. Julio Fernandez, Marion County Sheriff’s Department’s public information officer, says that he had been charged with child pornography “based on computer images seized during the raid of children engaged in sex acts.”

He was sentenced in 2003 to 15 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing an 8-year-old boy.
