Arrests

12:28 p.m. Jeremy D. George, 34, Mitchell, operating while intoxicated and resisting arrest by fleeing.

Incidents

5:45 a.m. Ambulance requested in the 500 block of South Meridian Road.

8:08 a.m. Man reported a silver Dodge Ram around the 100 block of Helmar Acres. The caller reported the man said he was checking roofs for hail damage but he’s “not sure if he’s doing that or not”.

12:28 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle leaving the roadway and going over the embankment at Teke Burton Drive and Highway 37. The driver fled south on Teke Burton Drive but was caught at Burris School. He was taken to St. Vincent’s Dunn and then arrested.

2:06 p.m. Officer requested at the Jay-C Store parking lot due to an accident. A city vehicle was involved.

2:30 p.m. Man on station with items for another person to pick up. They were picked up at 4:50 p.m.

2:32 p.m. Woman in the 400 block of North 7th Street requested Chief Presnell call her.

4:06 p.m. Caller in the 800 block of West Main Street requested to speak with an officer regarding theft. Officer Webster advised him it was a civil issue.

4:48 p.m. Man in the 400 block of Knott Street requested an officer because he was locked out of a white Ford truck. Officer Webster unlocked the vehicle.

6:02 p.m. Man in the 100 block of West Frank Street requested extra patrol because of speeding vehicles in the area.

7:20 p.m. Woman called to report a vehicle slid into a ditch at 5th and Warren Streets. She called back two minutes later to report that the vehicle was pushed out of the ditch.

7:40 p.m. Woman in the 100 block of Woodville Road called regarding problems with a juvenile.

8:10 p.m. A caller who refused to give their name or address reported a man had been standing in front of a residence at 613 West Warren Street “yelling & screaming & shoving people around” but had went back inside. MPD Officers Webster and Collins got the mess straightened out and Collins “advised the two subjects are going home and will advise if the others returns”. No charges were filed.

9:59 p.m. Male caller wanting to know if an officer “has spoken to the other party” regarding a battery. Officer J.D. England called him back at 11 p.m.

10:50 p.m. Employee of Dunbar’s Grill requested an escort to make a bank deposit. MPD Officer Collins provided the escort.

10:57 p.m. Verbal warning issued to a person on a moped at 10th and Warren Streets.

11:22 p.m. Man in the 900 block of Crawford Street reported that the bass from the music next door is rattling his windows. Officer J.D. England responded and advised the person had turned the music off and would not turn it back on.

5:56 a.m. Report of a boys bicycle next to 13th Street on the alley across from the Dollar General Store.

6:26 a.m. Caller reported that two small Boxer dogs with pink collars showed up at her house in the 700 block of South 6th Street. She said she would try to keep them until the City can pick them up or until they are claimed. They were taken to the Human Society.

8:50 a.m. Woman from the 500 block of South 7th Street called to report her two boxers were missing from her basement. She was advised they are at the Humane Society.

10:09 a.m. Man reported that he bought a house in the 500 block of North 7th Street yesterday and that no one other than himself should be there. He said he would assist in prosecution if anyone is caught in the home.

12:01 p.m. Man at Camelot Court requests to speak with a police officer regarding theft.

1:19 p.m. Man reported that he was standing on Main Street talking to a friend when his ex-girlfriend’s son drove past in a white truck and screamed, “You son of a bitch!”.

2:15 p.m. Caller requested to speak with an officer.

2:20 p.m. Man called to provide information on an item that he gave to another person.

3:06 p.m. Female called to report a large white dog running loose in the yard in the 300 block of West Warren Street.

3:11 p.m. MPD Officer 216 requested an officer meet him at him house regarding some information.

3:25 p.m. Man and woman meeting at MPD for a “child exchange”.

4:18 p.m. Woman on station regarding three suspicious subjects walking around Grissom Ave. & Meridian Road; one of them was carrying a trash bag.

4:54 p.m. Female called to report that there is a maroon bike leaned up against an empty house across from his in case anyone calls reporting one stolen.

5:00 p.m. Man on station regarding picking up copies of log sheets.

5:54 p.m. Man in the 600 block of W. Grissom Avenue requested an officer at his location regarding problems with kids trying to do some damage to his camper. He just wanted the information logged.

6:40 p.m. Man called requesting to speak with an officer regarding possible theft.

7:15 p.m. Woman on station to speak with an officer regarding a welfare check.

7:35 p.m. Woman called to report a bicycle stolen from the 200 block of E. Grissom Avenue sometime during the last couple of days. It is a white bike with purple spots and a bike lock on it.

7:40 p.m. Man called requesting an officer to Helmar Acres because he was locked out of his red GMC pickup truck parked along the road next to his house. MPD unlocked his vehicle.

7:42 p.m. Man on station with his son to speak with an officer regarding battery.

9:18 p.m. Woman called requesting extra patrol in the 300 block of Wade Street due to harassment.

10:28 p.m. Man in the 300 block of Warren Street (in an alley) requested an officer regarding a domestic situation, noting that he wanted the female to leave. The two separated and no charges will be filed.

10:51 p.m. Man called requesting an officer to call him back regarding theft. The man called back at 12:22 a.m. and requested the officer return his call again.

11:01 p.m. Man reported that a black Jeep started to pull in the sewer plant but when he stopped they instead went to the ballpark. At 11:12 p.m., an MPD officer reported a vehicle at the ballpark. After speaking with them for a moment, they left.

11:34 p.m. Man and his son on station regarding a battery.
