Incidents

7:05 a.m. 911 hangup call from the 1000 block of Tulip Street. Officer was advised to disregard due to ongoing problems with the phone at this residence.

9:11 a.m. Woman in the 500 block of South Meridian Road requested to speak with an officer because someone had knocked out the window of her vehicle.

9:40 a.m. Man requested an officer regarding abandoned vehicles he needed paperwork on.

10:16 a.m. Police discovered a window broken out at a home in the 400 block of North 7th Street.

12:05 p.m. A woman in the 1100 block of West Warren Street reported her small black and brown dog took off. She is handicapped and wasn’t able to go after it. The dog was found and returned to the owner.

1:03 p.m. A man in the 200 block of West Main Street reported another male was causing problems and he wanted him removed from the residence.

2:50 p.m. A woman in the 700 block of South 6th Street called regarding two boxer dogs running loose in her yard.

3:58 p.m. A woman in the 700 block of Teke Burton Drive requested to speak with an officer.

5:42 p.m. A woman at Lakeside Estates requested an officer due to problems regarding a child exchange.

6:00 p.m. Woman in the 300 block of West Warren Street requested an officer regarding theft.

6:32 p.m. Alarm going off in the 1500 block of West Main Street. The building was checked and found to be secure.

7:10 p.m. Woman and another person on station to speak with an officer regarding battery.

7:14 p.m. Woman called requesting an officer due to a fight inside a store in the 200 block of Highway 60 East. One person involved was still inside the store but the other had left. The person who left was described as a white male, 17-18 years of age, 5’8″ – 5’9″ tall, approximately 160 pounds, brown hair, wearing a dark blue jacket and tennis shoes.

7:34 p.m. Man in the 600 block of South 9th Street requested to speak with an officer because he had just ran some juveniles off his property.

7:37 p.m. Several calls were received regarding an accident on Highway 37 at the entrance to McDonalds.

7:50 p.m. Lawrence County reported an ambulance was en route to the 100 block of Dale Street because a man had called them reporting he was on drugs and in bad shape. He was taken to the hospital.

10:43 p.m. Woman in the 500 block of 8th Street requested extra patrol because of loud juveniles.

10:55 p.m. Woman on station to report a blue/grey Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix that almost hit her. They were last seen on Highway 50 West. Lawrence County was notified.
