1:09 a.m. Employee at the Clark Station requested extra patrol overnight every night.

4:31 a.m. Female caller in the 300 block of North 6th Street requested extra patrol until daylight.

7:51 a.m. Report of a small calf out on Highway 37 in front of the produce building.

8:46 a.m. City bus driver reported a male sitting in the parking lot behind the library who had been there for a while. He was waiting for the library to open.

8:50 a.m. Female in the 1600 block of Hancock Avenue reported there were two beagle dogs in her yard.

10:33 a.m. Man reported he found a syringe next to the curb at his father’s house in the 700 block of Brook Street.

10:58 a.m. Man reported that someone had vandalized a vending machine at the baseball field near Lehigh. MPD officer reported that it appeared that someone tried to get the cash changer out of the machine.

11:40 a.m. Female in the 1100 block of North 8th Street reported that there was a wire down on top of a storage building.

12:18 p.m. Female at the Mitchell Senior Citizens center reported that a fire alarm went off. She said she turned the alarm off because they couldn’t find a fire or any smoke.

12:50 p.m. Report of a syringe in the grass by the trash dumpster at Persimmon Park Apartments.

12:50 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch including Lawrence County until 2000 hours.

2:05 p.m. Lockout at McDonald’s.

2:07 p.m. Man and a woman called to report that a female was coming to the 300 block of John R. Williams Boulevard to get some items and may bring some people with her to cause problems. They just wanted to let the police know now in case something came up.

2:28 p.m. Female requested extra patrol in the 100 block of North 6th Street because of juveniles and mischief.

3:15 p.m. Man requested an officer in the 300 block of North 6th Street because of stolen mail.

3:57 p.m. Female called from 7th and Warren Streets wanted to speak with an officer about her kids being harassed and shoved around. Officers spoke to everyone involved and informed them the next time there was a problem they would all be cited into probation. This has been an ongoing problem since the summer.

4:40 p.m. Man on station reported that while he was on Grissom Avenue just west of 9th Street someone on a bicycle ran into the side of his vehicle.

5:12 p.m. Woman on station requested extra patrol in the 400 block of Knott Street because of a juvenile making threats to vandalize her property.

5:25 p.m. Female caller requested an officer in the 600 block of South 8th Street for a welfare check.

5:30 p.m. Female called about repossessing a vehicle from Jack’s Lounge.

10:39 p.m. Female caller on 911 requested an officer in the 600 block of South 8th Street because of a fight between her daughter and son-in-law. The woman left with her mother for the night and the male, drunk, stayed at the residence.
