Samantha J. Jones, 21, West Baden, driving while suspended (infraction), expired license plates.


5:12 a.m. Man in the 300 block of West Main Street requested an officer check outside his residence. He reported that someone knocked on his door saying they were the police and, when he opened the door, a man with a black mask covering his face holding a large stick was there. He got the door shut but thought the person may have still been outside his residence.

5:14 a.m. Owner of Terry’s gas station requested an officer because a rock was thrown through a window of his business overnight. MPD reported that the glass was broken but no entry was gained.

7:25 a.m. Female caller reported there was a CD or DVD laying in her front yard and she did not have any idea where it came from. It was found to be the center hub cap off of a Kia.

9:07 a.m. Owner of the liquor store at Teke Burton Drive and Main Street reported that someone has broken the glass in her store.

9:16 a.m. Man reported that the liquor store on Highway 60 East had been burglarized.

9:19 a.m. Man in the 800 block of South 2nd Street requested to speak with an officer regarding a battery that occurred the night before.

11:14 a.m. Man reported that a tire came out from under or out of the bed of a white truck on Highway 60 at the railroad and hit his vehicle.

12:39 p.m. Funeral home requested an escort later in the day.

1:10 p.m. Man reported a syringe laying by the stop sign behind the gymnastics business at 8th Street and Mississippi Avenue.

2:35 p.m. Detective from Washington, Indiana, called requesting to speak with an officer.

2:50 p.m. Man on station with a copy of a marriage license he found in the street.

3:03 p.m. Female on station with a kitten requesting the Street Department pick it up.

3:33 p.m. Female caller from 13th and Main Streets requested an officer because someone either ran into or tried to break into a vending machine.

4:20 p.m. Man on station requesting to speak with an officer.

5:45 p.m. The Water Department reported a water leak on 11th Street between Maple and Oak Streets.

6:00 p.m. Man reported that his vehicle was involved in a car versus deer accident on Highway 60 one mile west of Mitchell but that he had moved the vehicle to the CVS parking lot.

6:16 p.m. Female from the 400 block of Knott Street requested an officer because of problems with neighborhood kids.

8:00 p.m. Male caller requested extra patrol around the Great Wall restaurant because a person in a white truck keeps driving around trying to get him to race him on the highway.

10:17 p.m. Employee from the Clark Station reported someone in a white Jeep Cherokee pumped $60 worth of gas and drove off heading south on Highway 37. An Orleans officer followed the vehicle back to the gas station where the person’s father came and paid for the fuel. She was issued citations for driving while suspended (infraction) and expired license plates.
