Note: Because I’m about six days behind in posting the police logs, I’m simply going to summarize them and post the “most interesting” parts from each day. Statistics shows that when I post several days worth at once, the majority of people don’t read the old ones anyway, making it a waste of my time. Thanks.

2:32 a.m. Female caller in the 1400 block of Deckard Drive reported that her husband has fell in the living room and needs lift assistance.

7:33 a.m. Man reported a bicycle laying at Grissom Avenue and Meridian Road that had been there since the previous day.

11:04 a.m. Man reported that someone keeps stealing the letters and numbers off the sigh in front of the Mitchell Church of Christ in the 1000 block of West Main Street.

1:34 p.m. Woman reported that another woman was standing behind her house in the 400 block of North 7th Street when she came home for lunch. The woman asked to use her phone and she let her, but she did not let her in the house.

3:30 p.m. Woman on station requesting to speak with an officer regarding getting counterfeit money at Arby’s.

4:38 p.m. Woman from the 100 block of West Frank Street requested to speak with an officer regarding the theft of a cell phone.

5:10 p.m. Lawrence County reported that an AT&T operator called them stating they had received a call about a garage fire in the 1200 block of North Stevens Street. MPD checked the residence and there was no fire.

5:37 p.m. Female caller from the Dollar General Store reported a person they wanted a no trespass order served on was walking toward the store.

5:47 p.m. Female on station from the 400 block of South 7th Street requesting to speak with an officer regarding fraud.

6:40 p.m. Female caller reported juveniles beating on her house and running away.

7:55 p.m. Female caller requested an officer to the 400 block of West Brook Street because someone threw a beverage can on the side of the house.

10:50 p.m. Male caller requested extra patrol around the Sprint/Country Mark Station because his wife’s bus (bus #13) is parked in the back and he was told that some people had slept in it and drove it around the previous night.

November 22, 2011

5:22 a.m. Juvenile female requested extra patrol around Lakeside Estates because of a break-in at her and her father’s residence the previous night.

6:24 a.m. Report of an impaired driver in a gold Chevy Blazer northbound on Highway 37 from Orleans.

12:42 p.m. Report of a syringe, spoon, and rag laying next to the wall in the alley next to the post office. MPD picked the items up.

1:16 p.m. Female on station reporting that several pieces of jewelry were stolen at an unknown time, possibly by friends of her grandson.

2:21 p.m. Male caller requested an officer to the 200 block of West Main Street because of a juvenile who is outside yelling and throwing items. He reportedly did the same thing inside the house and also shoved some people.

4:36 p.m. Female caller reported two young kids, approximately 8-10 years old, walking down the street towards 5th and Oak Street with a baby carriage full of items. MPD spoke to the parents.

6:24 p.m. Traffic stop at John R. Williams Street and Grissom Avenue.

6:47 p.m. Traffic stop at Rabbitsville Road and Wade Street.

7:37 p.m. Female caller requested an ambulance to the 1100 block of North Marion Street for a female with breathing problems. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

7:48 p.m. Burglary in the 400 block of West Warren Street.

November 23, 2011

4:06 a.m. Man requested an officer to his home on Bartlett Drive to tell juveniles in his driveway to leave.

7:14 a.m. Traffic stop at an undisclosed location.

10:15 a.m. Traffic stop on Doc Hamilton Boulevard east of Rabbitsville Road.

11:30 a.m. Female caller requested an ambulance in the 1600 block of Hancock Avenue for her son who was having a seizure.

12:51 p.m. Man on a four-wheeler riding up and down Doc Hamilton Boulevard from Rabbitsville Road to the bridge. He was told to keep it off of the road.

12:51 p.m. Woman reported she put an arrangement on her mother’s grave in the cemetery three days prior and it had been stolen.

3:35 p.m. Man in the 300 block of Bartlett Drive requested an officer because he heard gunshots in the area around the back of his house.

4:57 p.m. Male caller requested an officer to the 200 block of West Main Street due to problems with a juvenile.

5:35 p.m. Female caller from Lakeside States requested extra patrol because her son was being threatened.

7:09 p.m. 911 hangup from the 1100 block of Orchard Street.

8:16 p.m. Male caller reported problems with an oven in the 100 block of West Hancock Avenue. There was smoke in the house but no flames.

10:55 p.m. Man called about two males approaching his residence tonight to get a vehicles. He was told it was a civil matter.

11:18 p.m. Dispatcher reported hearing two loud booms around 6th Street between Main Street and Mississippi Avenue. MPD checked and adviser there was no problem.
