Incidents

2:54 a.m. MPD checked with Duke Energy regarding a street light at 11th and Warren Streets that is still out. They checked their ticket from October 30th and said that they repaired it. They assigned a new ticket and said they would send a technician to fix it within five working days.

10:04 a.m. Vehicle stop in the 600 block of South Meridian Road.

10:38 a.m. Female from the 700 block of West Oak Street reported mischief.

11:39 a.m. Report of a large amount of glass on Doc Hamilton Boulevard at Highway 37. MPD checked and found what appeared to be a windshield. Most of had been pushed over by the curb but there were still some small pieces in the road.

1:08 p.m. Woman who refused to give her name reported a dog that was loose at 2nd Street and Flora Lane that was trying to bite people and came after her brother. She said that if something was done about the dog this time they would shoot the dog.

1:37 p.m. Theft of copper reported in the 800 block of South 2nd Street. A man later came to the station to file a no trespass order and theft charge.

2:32 p.m. Female caller reported a female walking in the middle of Highway 37 near Arby’s. MPD checked and found the female was just waiting for traffic to clear so that she could cross the road.

2:37 p.m. Female caller requested an officer to the 500 block of South 6th Street regarding a dog that was chained up but still came in her yard and tries to bite people while they are mowing.

2:55 p.m. Man in the 300 block of West Oak Street reported juveniles trying to enter a nearby residence through the dog door while the owner was gone.

3:22 p.m. Man in the 400 block of West Oak Street requested to speak with an officer regarding an investigation.

5:02 p.m. Female caller from the 300 block of Wells Avenue reported that her 10-year-old daughter was bitten by a dog. MPD spoke with the dog’s owners.

8:00 p.m. Female caller in the 300 block of Dale Street reported a man whom they have a no trespass order against knocking on the door and yelling.

8:46 p.m. Female caller from the Marathon station because of a suspicious person in the store.

9:10 p.m. Noise complaint at Persimmon Park Apartments.
