Social Networking

Note: Unfortunately, the automatic posting of articles to Twitter and our Facebook page will soon cease. Luckily, though, we will be able to send you e-mails about new articles that are posted to Mitchell News. This service is being tested now and will be available soon to everyone (free, of course!).

Facebook users can now keep up-to-date on Mitchell News by visiting our Facebook Page.  Articles and stories posted here will be automatically imported and displayed on Facebook, typically with a several hour delay (due to Facebook’s import process).

For users of Twitter, Mitchell News now has a Twitter account that you can “follow” to receive updates in near real-time.  Our Twitter account name is “mitchellnews“.

“Twitter is a real-time information network powered by people all around the world that lets you share and discover what’s happening now.”

When new stories are posted to the website, an update, or “tweet”, will be sent via Twitter.  Anyone “following” the Mitchell News twitter account will then be notified of the new story.  If you have a mobile phone, you can also get these updates sent directly to your phone via text message (SMS).

Subscribing to updates via Twitter is the quickest way to be notified of new stories.  From time to time, we will also “tweet” live from various events that may be held, providing our followers with up to the minute updates on “what’s happening”.
